Lucia Santilli, MHC
Staff Clinician

Lucia Santilli, MHC-LP, is a passionate and dedicated clinician at Therapy in the City’s Manhattan office, where she works with children, emerging adults, and adults navigating an array of mental health challenges.

Lucia’s work is grounded in a deep belief in the strength and potential of every client. She fosters growth by helping clients attune to their inner resilience while equipping them with tangible, evidence-based skills for lasting change. Her approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting to meet each client's unique needs and honoring the richness of each person’s lived experience. Lucia avoids a one-size-fits-all model, instead offering a holistic, individualized approach that respects the complexity of the human experience.
She specializes in treating anxiety and panic disorders, depression, OCD, and supporting clients through life transitions. In all her work, Lucia prioritizes a strong therapeutic alliance, maintaining a human-first, collaborative dynamic where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.

Lucia earned her Master’s in Counseling from New York University, where she also completed her clinical internship at Therapy in the City. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and previously served as a crisis responder at a nonprofit mental health organization in Toronto, Canada. There, she supported individuals coping with trauma, depression, suicidal ideation, interpersonal conflict, and relationship abuse.
Lucia brings a profound commitment to the field of mental health and a passion for lifelong learning that extends beyond the therapy room. She strives to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel empowered to explore, grow, and thrive.
