Katie Mundt, MHC
Staff Clinician
Katie is a Staff Clinician at Therapy in the City's Manhattan location, specializing in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and body image disturbances. She highly values interpersonal connection and emphasizes the importance of a mutually trusting therapeutic relationship as the foundation for self-exploration and healing.

Her clinical work focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness skills training for adults and adolescents. She takes an eclectic approach, combining evidence-based treatments with humanistic and relational perspectives to ensure that your unique needs are met with individualized support. Katie strives to create a safe, judgment-free space where your concerns are met with compassionate, attuned care. With curiosity and openness, you and Katie can work together to release shame, fear, and stagnation in order to cultivate a brighter, more authentic life.

Katie received both her Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness and her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Global Public Health from New York University. Prior to joining Therapy in the City, Katie was a Clinical Intern at a practice specializing in the treatment of OCD and worked as a Course Assistant in NYU’s Applied Psychology undergraduate program.

When she's not working, Katie loves to read novels, run marathons, and connect with friends—facets of life she considers integral to maintaining mental health.
