Yelena Remus, MS, MHC-LP
Staff Clinician  

Yelena Remus is a dedicated clinician in our New York office working with adults, young adults and adolescents. Yelena is passionate about supporting individuals and families navigating an array of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, OCD, and related disorders.
 

Yelena utilizes an evidence based approach in her clinical work. She received training at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy and has completed advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure/Response Prevention Therapy (E/RP). As a therapist, Yelena collaboratively supports clients as they work towards therapy related goals, connect with values, and identify both adaptive and maladaptive patterns and dynamics in their lives.


Prior to her clinical work in private practice, Yelena obtained an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University, and holds a Master’s of Science degree in School Counseling. Yelena served as a Director of Counseling in private and charter school settings for over a decade. In addition, Yelena previously worked at Monte Nido and Affiliates, a residential eating disorder facility for individuals ages 18 and older, where she provided therapeutic services to clients using a behavioral lens.

Outside of work, you will find Yelena spending time with family and friends, biking around the city, traveling, and whenever possible, spending time in nature.
