Ellin Gurvitch, MHC-LP
Staff Clinician  

Ellin Gurvitch is a Mental Health Counselor who obtained a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. 

 

In a supportive, genuine, and non-judgmental space, Ellin supports adolescents, young adults, and adults with anxiety, stress, depression, OCD, and other anxiety-related disorders. Ellin utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and positive psychology to support her clients in reaching personal goals in therapy and beyond. 

 

At the start of her career, Ellin specialized in treating teens and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders, and has since focused on working with adults with anxiety, depression, and related disorders. In her work, Ellin tailors her approach to the individual by providing insight and tools for change, and by gilding each client to identify personal strengths that can be taken into all parts of life. A passionate and caring clinician, Ellin strives to provide an understanding, goal oriented, and transformative space for each one of her clients.

 

Ellin also focuses on the merging fields of mental health and performance, and has facilitated webinars on sport and performance psychology geared towards business professionals, entrepreneurs, and athletes. She studied Hawaiian and Polynesian culture at University of Hawaii, and also attended the Rothberg International School at Hebrew University.
